Galleywood Youth Falcons 2 – 1 Tiptree Minors

With plenty of supporters cheering them on within the first minute Joseph Norster passed to Toby Booty who scored a superb goal into the top of the net.  Both teams worked hard to keep possession of the ball.  Ryan Seeley cleared the ball when it threatened our goal early in the first half.  Both Joseph and Toby had shots denied by the Galleywood goalie.  Fifteen minutes into the match Ryan made a great jump to save their first goal but it just went over the top of his finger tips making it 1 all.  Some great defending by our Tiptree boys but Ryan had to make a save at the end of the first half.

Second half was eventful, Joseph and Toby made a great attempt at a first minute goal but were unlucky and there was an injury on impact of the ball but Joseph soldiered on.  A change of goalie saw our birthday boy Harrison York make some great saves.  Seven minutes in and Galleywood got lucky despite a great try by Harrison.

There was a great attempt at a long shot by Thomas Rodriguez but it just past the post.  Great effort was made by all our boys despite a difficult match. Smiles were restored when the birthday boy gave out the curly wurlies!

Man of the match – Harrison York

Beacon Hill 4 – 3 Tiptree Minors

It was an overcast chilly start, but within the first 2 minutes Toby Booty scored a fantastic goal following a cross from Thomas Rodriguez. Another good attempt at goal by Thomas saw the ball just miss.  An excellent defence by William saw Beacon Hill away from the goal in the 6th minute.  With seconds played a superb shot by Joseph Norster kept Beacon Hill on their toes.  Fifteen minutes in saw another goal by Toby following a sneaky roll in after the keeper made contact.  Attacks by Pacey and Harrison continued our game until half time at 2 nil.

At 10.30 sharp an attack by Tiptree kept our momentum going forcing Beacon Keeper to make an excellent save despite three red shirts on the attack. Four minutes into second half saw a Beacon Hill goal.  Tiptree allowed another attempt but a fantastic save by Ryan Seeley, cleared by Rory defeated their attempt. At 2 nil up and excellent defence by Lewis Bell consistently throughout still was not enough to stop a goal by Beacon Hill ten minutes in.

Joseph brought us back 3 – 1 but they caught up quickly 2 minutes later to 3-2. Beacon Hill equalled the score with excellent team work all the way from the centre kick.  Another 2 shots by Joseph tried to soften the fast come back but it was not to be. A final goal made it 4 – 3 to Beacon Hill Rovers leaving a fantastic effort by all unrewarded.

Man of the match: Toby Booty

Tiptree Minors 8 – 0 Rayne Youth

On a bright day and before I could get my note pad out Tiptree had scored in the first minute.  This game was fast so keep up!  That first goal was earned by a fast run from Toby Booty.  Next Joseph Norster booted it into the goal for 2 nil.  Joseph hit his second goal of the match soon after giving Tiptree 3 nil in the first 3 minutes.  A couple of weeks without matches and the boys were clearly ready to play as their great team work kept the ball away from our goal.  Joseph made a great high kick passing it to Toby who manoeuvred the ball past two Rayne Youth defenders giving him a close shot into the back of the net, his second goal of the match.  This was followed by Lewis Jaques making a lovely cross which was pushed away by the goalie but Shane Lock booted it into the goal to give us the deserved 4 nil and giving Shane his first goal for Tiptree.

Rayne Youth made us work harder in the second half and saved a great run and attempt for the goal by Liam Murphy.  They threatened our goal but goalie Ryan Seeley made some fine clearances.  15 minutes into the second half Joseph scored giving him a hat trick and Tiptree 6 nil.  Fantastic team support earned another superb goal from Joseph in the last minutes of the match.  Four wasn’t enough for Joseph he was on top form and after a great pass Joseph scored his 5th goal of the match giving Tiptree an 8 nil win and earning him a well deserved man of the match!

Well done boys!

Notley Youth 3 – 3 Tiptree Minors

Both teams faced not only the challenge of the match but also the cold wet and windy weather.  In the first minute of the game Shane Lock passed the ball back to Toby Booty in the box who scored a terrific goal.  The game was evenly matched with Notley scoring next followed by another goal not long after.  Notley goalie saved a shot from Shane followed by a good run and a shot by Toby, persistence paid off when Rory passed to Toby who booted it into the goal making it 2-2 in the first half.

In the beginning of the second half Harry Hennessey set the ball up for Toby to score but unluckily it just passed the post.  Not deterred our boys team work put

the Notley goalie under pressure again and having made a good save Notley had an unlucky own goal giving us 3-2.  We looked set to win when goalie Joseph Norster saved a couple of close ones but Notley were lucky in the final minutes when they scored to draw 3-3.

Man of the match – Rory Grimshaw

Tiptree Minors 3 – 0 Tollesbury Juniors

In the first game of the Spring League the weather was overcast but Tiptree came out strong.  The supporters saw some great defence and some good runs from both teams with a few near misses.  Tiptree new boy Rory Grimshaw passed to Lewis Jacques who scored Tiptree’s first goal.  Following some good team work and not long after Tiptree’s first goal Lewis Jacques crossed to Thomas Rodriguez who scored the second goal.  Tollesbury’s best attempt was a high ball towards our goal but Ryan Seeley pulled off an excellent save giving Tiptree a clean sheet in the first half.

Tollesbury started the second half well and forced a good save from Pacey Grimshaw who was now in goal.  Toby Booty took control of the ball and had a great run, crossed to Liam Murphy who booted it straight into the back of the goal making it 3 nil to Tiptree.

Man of the match - Lewis Jacques.

Fennlands Utd 7  Tiptree Minors  1

Once again it appeared that Tiptree Minors were out to enjoy the sunshine and before they knew it they were 6 goals down.  In the second half, Tiptree worked hard and went close on a few occasions only to be saved by some excellent goalkeeping from the Fennlands keeper.  They finally got their reward for their hard work with strong run by Joseph Norster finishing with a shot that went in just inside the post.  A much better balanced second half, but unfortunately the damaged had already been done.  Man of the match went to Harrison York

Tiptree Minors 0 – 6 Baddow Spartak

In hot conditions, Baddow Spartak started the game at a fast pace and before Tiptree Minors knew it they were 3 goals down.  In the second half, Tiptree worked hard and went close on a few occasions only to be saved by some excellent goalkeeping from the Baddow keeper.  Despite the hard work, Baddow looked the more organised team and always looked dangerous on the break.
